Eastern Colorado Beekeepers was begun with an article in the I70 Scout, November of 2016. Jennifer Tucker, CSU Extension Agent asked if there was any interest in Beekeeping on the I70 Corridor. About 8 people showed up to that first meeting. We started the club in February of 2017 with 15 people. Now there are over 60 members and associates!
We have members who are learning about Beekeeping before they even order bees. We have members who have been keeping bees for over 40 years! And, we have members in between. We have members from Aurora, Watkins, Bennett, Kiowa, Strasburg, Byers, Deer Trail, Agate, and Chaparral!
