Eastern Colorado Beekeepers was begun with an article in the I70 Scout, November of 2016. Jennifer Tucker, CSU Extension Agent asked if there was any interest in Beekeeping on the I70 Corridor. About 8 people showed up to that first meeting. We started the club in February of 2017 with 15 people. Now there are over 60 members and associates!
We have members who are learning about Beekeeping before they even order bees. We have members who have been keeping bees for over 40 years! And, we have members in between. We have members from Aurora, Watkins, Bennett, Kiowa, Strasburg, Byers, Deer Trail, Agate, and Chaparral!
The Eastern Colorado Beekeepers association is organized as an educational and charitable organization. We are uniting the Beekeepers of Eastern Colorado in an effort to promote modern and up-to-date beekeeping and the production of Bee Products. We also strive to educate the public on the importance of Honeybees for the welfare of all people!
